Alnico
Product Introduction:
Alnico is one of the earliest developed permanent magnetic materials, an alloy composed of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, iron, and other trace metallic elements. Depending on the manufacturing process, it is classified into sintered alnico and cast alnico. Products typically come in circular or square shapes. Cast alnico can be machined into a wide variety of sizes and geometries; in contrast, sintered alnico is limited to smaller dimensions, with tighter dimensional tolerances in its green‑state blanks compared to cast blanks. While its magnetic properties are slightly inferior to those of cast alnico, it offers superior machinability. Among permanent magnetic materials, cast alnico boasts the lowest reversible temperature coefficient, enabling service temperatures exceeding 600°C. Alnico permanent magnets are widely used in various instruments, meters, and other application areas.
